About

Work Experience

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor with 20 years of clinical experience. Thirteen of those years were spent working as a Professional School Counselor and School-Based Mental Health Therapist, which provided me with a deep understanding of child development, educational systems, and school-related expectations. This background allows me to support clients through both therapeutic and school-based challenges with informed insight.

I am experienced in working with adolescents and emerging adults as they navigate identity development, emotional regulation, social pressures, and the physical and psychological transitions that accompany these life stages. I also specialize in treating individuals of all ages experiencing OCD and anxiety-related concerns.

My therapeutic style balances insight-oriented work with compassion and skills-based strategies. Together, we explore the “why”—the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape behaviors and emotions—while building tools that support meaningful and lasting change.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and remain current with research-informed therapeutic interventions that align with each client’s needs, personality, and goals. Therapy with me moves at the speed of trust—paced in a way that feels both safe and growth-oriented.

Ultimately, my role is to support your process of understanding, healing, and change. While I will offer guidance, education, and caution when clinically necessary, my primary goal is to empower you to build the insight and skills needed to navigate challenges independently. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I am honored to walk alongside you in it.

On a more personal note...

When I’m not working, you can usually find me outside. I love hiking, biking, and spending time in nature—it’s where I feel the most grounded and at peace. I also love exploring new places, whether that means a trail close to home, a new café in town, or a completely different country. Travel is a big part of who I am, and my list of places I still want to visit is pretty much endless.

I enjoy good music, a great book, and moments that make me laugh—the kind that remind you not to take life too seriously. Whether I’m discovering a new favorite local spot or planning my next adventure, I try to stay curious and connected to the world around me.
